Does the result of the battery test change if I drive in a particularly gentle and energy-saving manner?
The energy that can be extracted from the battery depends on both the temperature of the battery and the discharge rate. However, we generate a simulation model of the battery from the measured data of the test and can use it to simulate a reference cycle at standardized conditions, thus compensating for these dependencies. More serious effects are only seen when the battery is completely discharged in less than an hour.
However, we cannot influence how the battery controller behaves. Therefore, if the test is repeated, the result may be slightly different if breaks are taken during the test, or if the test is performed over several days. The reason for this is that during breaks the control unit can determine the state of charge of the battery exactly and thus release more energy than if the state of charge is not known exactly.
What happens after the order?
In the delivered order you will find the AVILOO BOX including all necessary cables. Charge your car to 100%, remove it from the charging station and turn on your car. In order for the AVILOO BOX to work, it needs power and for that your car must be started.
Then you just need to attach the AVILOO BOX to your car and wait until the LED turns green. After that, you just have to follow the instructions in the webapp (previously received by email and/or SMS).

Why do I have to charge my car before the AVILOO PREMIUM BATTERY TEST?
The AVILOO BOX needs a lot of data to determine the health of your battery. For this purpose, we need to know how your battery behaves at 100% state of charge, but also at 10%. Unfortunately, without charging to 100% (or min. 98%) we will not be able to calculate reliable values for the state of health.
Why do I need my cell phone for the AVILOO PREMIUM BATTERY TEST?
Your cell phone is required to operate the AVILOO webapp. The webapp is there for you to start the battery test on your own and at any time.
Why do I have to drive at the AVILOO PREMIUM BATTERY TEST?
You are welcome to have someone you trust do this for you.
Please keep in mind that the drive required for the battery test may extend over seven days, so you are not pressured to complete the battery test "all at once" and quickly. This doesn't have to be done on the weekend "where you finally have several hours free for a longer drive", you can start the battery test on Monday on your way to work and finish it with a Sunday drive.
How do I end the AVILOO PREMIUM BATTERY TEST?
The AVILOO webapp tracks your vehicle's state of charge and automatically stops the battery test when the lower limit is reached (10% - 5%, depending on the model).
How does the AVILOO Web App work?
We will send you a link to start the AVILOO webapp. This link will be sent to you by e-mail as well as by SMS. By clicking on the link you can start the AVILOO webapp. It helps you to start the battery test independently at any time. What do I do after finishing the AVILOO PREMIUM BATTERY TEST?
After you have reached the lower limit of the charge level, the AVILOO test app will automatically complete the battery test. Please check the AVILOO test app and as soon as it shows that the battery test is finished, you can disconnect the AVILOO BOX from your vehicle.
Within 48 hours your certificate (with result values) will be sent to you by email.
If you have received the AVILOO BOX, please use the return label and send the AVILOO BOX including all cables back to us. The return is free of charge for you.
If you have picked up the AVILOO BOX from a partner base, please bring the box including all cables back to the same base.
